NIO is a 9-year-old underground rapper and graffiti artist with an almost obsessive love for red. Inspired by the hip-hop documentary Style Wars, he was struck by the raw energy of street art and drawn deeply into its wild, untamed spirit. This is the beginning of NIO’s underground legend.

A series of sketches from my notebooks, all done with oil pastels. This practice allows for exploring traditional techniques and new artistic languages beyond the usual ones used in the field.
